HESI® A2 Prep by Pocket Prep Examine App

I have browsed around with other app but nothing ever stick like this one this, in few week of practicing and preparing I was more confident and pass my HESI in less than 4 hrs . These providers know what they did when they created this app thank you.

This app was fantastic. I recommend it for anyone taking the HESI. It made a high intense study session fun and was useful for preparation for the test! Recommend over and over again and worth $15 a month!!

Used exclusively this app to study for the HESI for about two months. Convenient, fun, and most importantly, worked wonders.

I liked having this app available to study while i was doing other things, like between sets of exercise at the gym. It was very convenient and I feel that it, in part, helped me do well on my HESI A2

I recently passed the HESI with a score of 91%. This app really helped a lot with vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension and math.

I used this app as my only study tool for Reading, Biology, Vocabulary, and A & P and passed on my first try. I love this app!

So, I only needed to take the Reading, Math, Biology, and Chemistry portions of the HESI exam. This app in conjunction with the HESI prep book by Elsevier really helped me a lot. I ended up getting a 94.5 cumulative score. 100 on the Biology, 92 on the Chemistry, 96 on the math, and 90 on the reading. That being said do not expect to see the questions on this app on the exam. The exam tests your critical thinking so, the app combined with the book gives you all the basic knowledge you need but, you need to apply that knowledge on the test. It is also important to note that if you took bio and chem (or whatever courses match with the exam sections you are taking) and then you study with the prep book and app, you should be fine. But, be warned the chemistry section was very random and the prep was only slightly helpful. I highly recommend going over the periodic table properties thoroughly. I knew the biology so well because I just took Microbio prior to the test and had a huge biology review in the course. The prep and app are GREAT for the math and reading though. All the being said, I studied for only 2 weeks and got these scores so, this is a great resource!

I feel like it helped in the grammar and reading comprehension categories, math too, but the A&P HESI was totally different than what was on the app. I did not feel that this app prepared me well. You definitely need to know the material from your textbooks.

This was a great aid for me in prepping for the HESI. The review questions were accurate in Math, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Vocabulary. For Anatomy I did learn a thing or two with the help of the app, however it is very important to study intensely for this portion using outside resources such as college Anatomy textbooks and videos. I was able to pass all the sections listed above with high scores on my first try, thankfully!

My favorite part about this app is that it’s easy to pick which subjects you want to be tested on. I don’t want to answer physics questions if I’m not be asked to take that on the HESI! I love the endless supply of quizzes.

Question are very similar to the ones on the exam. I passed it on the first try!

I highly recommend this app for HESI A2 prep. I exclusively used this app to study and I scored an average of 93.5. My highest score was in vocab, 98, and lowest in reading was 90. My A&P was 92, math 94. I may have studied a total of 4 hours. Because of my score I was chosen for an interview and continue the process of applying. If you have to take the test you have to try this app. I downloaded it but didn’t pay for the upgrade until closer to my test. I used the version that only lasts for a certain amount of time. I don’t remember the details. Good luck!

Love this app. However, it keeps freezing.. as soon as I go into the “exam readiness” section the app freezes.. I can’t scroll or anything.. I have to end up quitting the app and opening it again and it does the same thing over and over again

Used this app to help prepare for my test soon. I bought the one time purchase for all access and it is really helpful! However there are so many bugs and glitches and when I try to add an account the app crashes. When I try to restore my purchase on my new phone as well, it crashes. So many crashes and very slow. I hate using it due to this reason 😕

To pay 15$ for this app is to pay 15$ for like, 100 questions per subject. That means as I practice I am CONSTANTLY getting repeat questions. What a rip off

Love the app... that is, the 5% of the time it actually works! Don’t be fooled you might be thinking “what’s better than studying on the go?” Well, pocket prep has the answer... logging in, closing out, and rebooting due to continuous crashes! So hey, if you find yourself on a bus or plane with 3 hours to kill, then this app is perfect...between all the crashes and reboots, you’re bound to get in 10 minutes of studying!

The app is super useful. I got all passing grades on my HESI exam I also used the Elsevier review book. The app is great to use anywhere. I used it on my phone a lot to do some quick exams to refresh. It’s a great study tool but I would recommend it with the Elsevier book.

Accurately portrays questions that will be on the exam. However, it starts to crash once you have completed a lot of questions. Besides that one flaw the app was worth the money.

App worked for a good 3-5 weeks and then logged me out. Contacted customer service through email and they told me to contact them through the app instead. I can’t contact you if it logged me out and won’t let me back in.

Sometimes the app closes by itself. Have to restart the exam again. Frustrating. Very slow.. app has a lot of glitches

I paid for the app and it is always buffers 🤔😒 I feel the questions are good and it’s good on the go app study while your inline BUT it may not load fast enough.HOPE they fix that ASAP

I started using pocket prep about a year ago and I love it because it really does prepare you and tell you when you get an answer wrong and why you got it wrong. As a pre nursing student, I love using it because it’s very accessible and highly beneficial. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to take the exam.

I passed my HESI by using this app paired with a study book. This app is great for testing your knowledge and figuring out where you need to improve. I loved it.

I don't see a selection of passages or for me to select my topic to study. I don't like how it is set automatically for you.i like apps that let you choose the topic and study slowly.

Hi everyone, I took my HESI on 09/11/2019, and I am so happy to announce I passed Anatomy & Physiology, math, vocab, reading comprehension and grammar with scores 80% and above and 76% for A&P. This is the ONLY app I used to study, along with my Hesi Elsevier study book, and MathDude YouTube videos. I bought the premium version, which I enjoyed, however it tends to lag quit a bit, I would have also liked if there were of an array of questions, because I felt like I would get the same questions over and over for A&P.

I’m loving this app I’m able to study any where any time and I don’t need to carrying the book.

I literally just bought the full version, spent 30 minutes doing 100 questions and while it was "submitting" my exam, the app crashed. Awesome 😃 how are you going to charge so much for something that doesn't even work?

I can honestly say that this is a great app and you will retain the information more from the book.

Please speed up the app. I bought the full version and I have to log in every couple hours because it freezes and logs me out. It freezes a lot, please fix

Horrible customer support , I’ve sent numerous request for assistance to restore access to the practice questions I PURCHASED. Support team shows active but no reply. Will not be purchasing more from this app, don’t waist your time reaching out to customer support.

I do feel this is a great app but there are a lot of recycled questions so i feel the progress is inaccurate

I normally don’t rate apps, but I thought I would give this app a rating because it was so helpful to me while studying for the HESI A2. This app helped me practice questions and give me a feel for how the test would be. I ended up taking the HESI and getting a cumulative total of 92.75%. I will say the question difficulty is pretty similar, except the anatomy on the HESI was more specific, so be prepared to study more for the anatomy portion. You definitely should not use this as your only study resource, but it is very helpful to get a feel for the type of questions they ask on the exam. I also studied using the Elsevier evolve review and McGraw Hill which I also recommend. I felt like with this app, the math, reading, biology and vocabulary sections were pretty spot on in terms of question types. I did not have to take the physics so I can’t comment on the accuracy of that section. My only complaint with this app would be that it starts lagging a little bit. But overall a good study resource!

At best, this app should only be used once every couple days. Questions are repetitive with answers in exact same format every time. You’ll find yourself memorizing the answers instead of understanding the question. You’re better off reviewing general knowledge in each subject and using this to test yourself a few times. Zero questions were in my actual HESI exam. Still a decent test tool. Scored in the low 90s range on the app. I ended up scoring low 90s on my HESI exam.

I bought the $14.99 option & used the app for no more than 30 minutes with that feature. After that, it downgraded me back to the free feature & does not allow me to restore my purchase. It took the money out of my bank account but will not give me the feature I paid for!!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS APP IT PERFORMS PORELY. THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME A REFUND!!!!

Best HESI PREP! 100% recommend this app!

I absolutely love this app, I used it for about 1-2 weeks every single day to study for my HESI exam and I felt extremely prepared when exam date came around. The only thing I’d also advise to do aside from this app is study as much vocabulary as you can! I will absolutely be purchasing their NCLEX-RN app next. Good luck to you all!

The school I was applying for only tested on these 4 subjects to enter the program. And I have to say that this app is vital to passing the test. (Especially if you’ve been out of school for 2 decades or more!) Do yourself a favor and purchase this app if your looking to pass the Hesi for a school that only test on these 4 subjects. You’ll pass, hands down! Sorry, didn’t have to take the other test so I don’t know. FYI

I took the hesi a total of two times. The first time I took the exam I was not prepared at all. Here are my scores the first time: Math:70 Vocab:78 A&P:76 Grammar:86 Reading:88 I needed an 80% to get into my schools nursing program and to see these scores really was painful. So I had a second opportunity to take this exam and it was my final shot. I only had to retake math, vocab, and A&P. I used this app, plus a very special quizlet (Hesi A2 prep saint Thomas, ask to join) and the cliff notes quick guide for anatomy book plus a dash of crash course videos and as a result got Math: 90 Vocab:94 A&P:100 This app alone or any of the things I mentioned alone will not help you but them combined will guarantee you get high scores. This app truly primed me on how to prepare for the exam and refreshed a lot of material I hadn’t seen. I will always recommend this app in conjunction with other study materials to future pre nursing students.

It keeps freezing , and refreshing ..

Haven’t taken the HESI yet but I was told this app was extremely helpful. Unfortunately after 500 or so questIons the app becomes completely unusable and unresponsive luckily you can continue on the desktop version but not the point of the “pocket” prep. Will give an update on the material after the HESI! Update 1: Reached the 1100 question mark and the app has become pretty much useless! Disappointing considering how much I paid for the app. Been using the desktop version to study! More updates to come Update 2: I’ve discovered if you turn off WiFi and restrict the app from using cellular data in settings the app will run much better! Plus less distractions while studying if you just turn them both off the quick way in the control center! Don’t forget to turn them back on though after you are done though!

definitely think this app is the reason i got great scores on my hesi test. a lot of the questions were either very very similar if not identical to the questions on the test. also helped me figure out what subjects i needed to study more!!! 10/10 recommend this to every person studying for the HESI A2

This app really helped me study for the HESI! I passed each section with 80 or above making a 92 on the biology section. The only section I didn’t make an 80 was the vocabulary were I made a 76. I loved the daily question feature & the explanations that were given. The app as a whole was really HELPFUL. I record to anyone who is going to take the HESI to use this app for practice & study. :)
